
Dr. Ralph Schoellhammer is an Austrian political theorist, professor, and influential commentator on international relations and contemporary global affairs.
Schoellhammer holds a Ph.D. in Political Science from the University of Kentucky, with concentrations in Political Theory, International Relations, and Comparative Politics, completed in 2015. He also earned an M.A. in Political Science from the University of Kentucky and a degree in Economics from the Vienna University of Economics and Business Administration. His doctoral dissertation focused on 'The Cultural Causes of Institutional Decay', reflecting his ongoing interest in the intersection of culture and politics.
Currently serving as Head of the Center for Applied History and IR Theory at Mathias Corvinus Collegium (MCC) in Budapest, Schoellhammer previously worked as an Assistant Professor at Webster Vienna Private University from 2015 to 2024. His research primarily examines how culture, values, and ideologies influence state behavior and social cohesion.
Schoellhammer is widely recognized for his media appearances and written commentary.
